OVERVIEW OF THE ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST ROLE:

• Process and review invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve any discrepancies with vendors.
• Manage and update vendor accounts, including verification of payment terms and contact information.
• Collaborate with internal departments to obtain approvals and documentation for payments.
• Assist in month-end close activities related to accounts payable.
• Prepare AP reports and assist with audits as necessary.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting function.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
