Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accounting Specialist to join our team in Aventura, United States. As an integral part of our Accounting & Finance department, you will be responsible for managing various financial processes, ensuring accuracy, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our accounting operations.
- Process and code invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Prepare and post journal entries, support schedules, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Participate in month-end and year-end close processes
- Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management review
- Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies
- Assist in managing vendor relationships and resolving outstanding issues
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
- Collaborate with team members to implement process improvements and drive accounting efficiencies
- Support the annual audit process by preparing necessary documentation
- Assist with special projects and ad-hoc financial analyses as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of fundamental accounting principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with advanced Excel skills
- Experience with AP workflow systems (e.g., Transcend)
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Experience with financial reporting and analysis
- Familiarity with reconciliation applications (e.g., Blackline) is a plus
- Knowledge of Microsoft Great Plains/Dynamics F&O is preferred
- Industry experience in entertainment, live events, or travel is desirable
