We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our Finance team in the graphic labeling and manufacturing sector. This role will be essential in managing day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations and assisting with month-end closings. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of general accounting principles, experience in manufacturing environments and proficiency with accounting software.
Responsibilities:- Accounts Payable and Receivable (AP/AR):
- Process invoices and payments, ensuring timely and accurate entry into the accounting system.
- Manage collections and resolve discrepancies with customers and vendors.
- Investigate customer and vendor inquiries, communicate promptly and professionally resolutions.
- Reconcile accounts and prepare statements as required.
- Financial Transactions:
- Verify, classify and record financial transactions.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Assist with cash flow management and forecasting.
- Bank Reconciliations:
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations to verify accuracy of transactions and resolve discrepancies.
- Coordinate with banks and internal teams to address any account discrepancies.
- General Ledger Support:
- Assist in preparing monthly journal entries and posting to the general ledger.
- Support the month-end close process, including account analysis and reconciliation.
- Help prepare financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP standards.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and distribute accurate weekly and monthly financial reports for management review.
- Assist with cost analysis for production and material expenses specific to the labeling and manufacturing processes.
- Identify trends and potential areas for cost improvement.
- Compliance and Audits:
- Support external auditors and ensure compliance with all accounting standards.
- Maintain records to facilitate easy retrieval and documentation for auditing purposes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and financial regulations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with Operations and Production teams to support cost controls and budgeting specific to the graphic labeling industry.
- Provide support to HR and payroll regarding employee reimbursements, benefits reconciliation and payroll-related tasks.

- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in manufacturing or graphic labeling.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge and Abilities:
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication skills for effective cross-departmental collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the graphic labeling or manufacturing sector.
- Familiarity with compliance requirements related to manufacturing, including cost analysis and reporting.
- Infor accounting software experience
