About the Job
Under general supervision of the Senior Accountant, performs clerical duties of moderate complexity and scope in support of the Trade Management (TM) Credit/Debit Memo Process. While following well-defined instructions and procedures, this role requires some judgment in application. In addition, provides clerical and accounting support related to the General Ledger function. Contributes to the monthly Oracle close process by reviewing TM account balances and is responsible for preparing various monthly/quarterly journal entries and reconciliations, as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
TM Credit/Debit Memo Processing:
Validate data and ensure proper approvals for all AR credit memo and debit memo requests as per Company policy.
Enter validated credit and debit memos into the Oracle Trade Management Module.
Validate data and ensure proper approvals for promotional (sales incentive) credits and input them into Oracle.
Manage TM deductions for Cash Application, including follow-up with Credit Analysts, matching credit memos, and creating charge-backs and small balance write-offs.
Maintain a credit/debit log for use by Outside Sales, Customer Service, Pricing, Warranty, and Credit departments.
Organize and file back-up documentation.
Accounting Support:
Assist with Month-End Close, including but not limited to preparing journal entries, conducting account reconciliations, maintaining and reconciling the journal entry log, and ensuring proper approvals are obtained and documented, which contributes to the integrity of financial reporting. Provides support for both internal and external audits.

Qualifications:
Experience in clerical or administrative support roles.
Familiarity with accounting processes and procedures.
Proficiency in using accounting software (experience with Oracle Trade Management Module preferred).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
A High School diploma or GED is required. An Associate’s Degree in a business-related field from an accredited college is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), as well as 10-key by touch, is essential.
Must be organized, deadline-driven, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and possess excellent time management skills.
Must be able to stand, sit, move, and use fingers for extended periods of time. The role may require walking primarily on a level surface, reaching above shoulder height and below the waist, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
