About the Job
Sparks Group in partnership with a growing insurance company is seeking an Accounting Specialist. As the Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining premium related activity to include managing deposits and timely remittances. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of relative experience, Applied EPIC and MS Office experience. If you’re looking for your next opportunity apply now!
Responsibilities:
- Handle daily bank reconciliations, deposit and mail checks, issue payments, and maintain accounting records.
- Ensure timely and accurate payment processing, considering company policies, discounts, and client insurance due dates.
- Verify entries, compare system reports to balances, and provide regular updates to management on account status.
- Collaborate with team members to investigate and resolve aging accounts and assist agency owners with payment inquiries.
Qualifications/Background Profile:
- 3 to 5 years of accounting analyst experience
- Insurance industry experience is a plus
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications to include Excel (formulas, pivot tables, v-lookups), Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook and Internet browser applications
- Experience in NetSuite and Applied EPIC preferred
- Bilingual Spanish preferred
