Accounting Specialist (up to $32/hour) - Ledgent Finance & Accounting

About the Job
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting functions, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger maintenance, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting transactions including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and reconciliation of accounts.
- Prepare and process financial statements, monthly closings, and year-end reports.
- Oversee payroll processing, including tax filings and employee benefits.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for management.
- Maintain internal controls and ensure accurate financial records.
- Assist in preparing tax returns and liaise with external auditors.
- Manage cash flow, banking, and reconcile all bank statements.
- Track and manage company assets and depreciation schedules.
- Provide regular financial analysis and reporting to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms.
- Experience with payroll systems and processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
