MUST:
5+ years of proven work experience as a Tax Accountant, Tax Preparer or Reviewer
Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
Proficiency with accounting software packages (ProSystem Tax, Axcess, GoSystem, or TaxWise)
Computer literacy (MS Excel in particular)
Excellent analytical and time management skills
Strong numeracy skills
Keen attention to detail
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant subject; industry certification (CPA) is required
DUTIES:
We are specifically looking for in office Sr. Tax Accountant to review and prepare a variety of tax returns (1040, 1041, 1065, 1120, 1120-S, 990) for our clients. Experience with Multiple K-1s, foreign source income; multi-state (for individuals and corporations), complex and simple trusts, etc. To succeed in this role, you should show interest in following changes to tax regulations and laws. Excellent time management skills are essential, as you'll have to ensure our company meets tight deadlines.
Review and prepare complex tax returns.
Complete quarterly and annual tax reports; conduct year-end planning for clients and advise re: same
Recommend tax strategies to individual and business clients
Research tax law as it applies to particular client tax situation
