Staff Accountant
Chantilly, VA / Hybrid
MUST:
Experienced Junior Staff Accountant
1- 2 years of professional experience in accounting or financial reporting
Strong experience and knowledge of Deltek Costpoint is desired
Strong Accounts Payable experience
Highly Proficient with MS Excel
Strong experience with MS outlook and word
Ability to handle sensitive information securely and confidentially
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Strong attention to detail and ability to solve problems analytically
Highly organized
Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance is strongly desired (additional years may be considered)
DUTIES:
Assisting the finance department to include the following, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing collections, cash receipts, and revenue recognition
Following established procedures to prepare customer invoices
Assisting the finance department in collecting customer payments in a timely manner
Calculating, recording, and processing financial data by maintaining ledgers
Utilizing the Deltek system for accounting and timekeeping
Exercise knowledge of the fundamentals for federal government contracting and general accounting principles
Desire to grow in the accounting space
