Job Details
You will be part of a top-performing accounting department that works hard and has fun. You will report to an experienced Division Controller who is an expert in the industry. You will contribute to the company’s growth and profitability while building strong relationships with both the internal teams and external customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Accounting Supervisor, you will oversee, manage, and participate in all periodic accounting procedures including but not limited to:
Supervision of project-based accounting including payroll, accounts payable and billing.
Supervision of Projects and Cost Coding structure in accounting software.
Monthly review of project profitability and revenue/cost booking adjustments as necessary.
Monitoring monthly target completion dates for all tasks.
Direct participation in the month end closing process generating month end schedules as required.
Various internal and external reporting of customer specific project financial data.
Assist in the administration, management, and maintenance of the financial systems package.
Supervise, review, and monitor the input of all data into the accounting system for accuracy, completeness, and compliance to all pre-existing policies and procedures.
Provide auditors with information as requested.
Prepare monthly internal analytical reports.
Establish, manage, and maintain all accounting and accounting related controls, policies, and procedures.
Specialist projects and other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
Additional coursework, training and/or certification a plus
Minimum of 5 years of progressive, hands-on accounting and financial experience with demonstrated responsibility and leadership
Previous work experience in the professional services or construction industry preferred
Supervisory experience preferred
Advanced competency with Microsoft Office Suite, expert level with Excel
