Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance required
CPA/MBA preferred
Experience:
10-15 years of accounting experience in manufacturing, agriculture, or biotech, with a preference for at least 5 years in a management role
5 years accounting experience working with an international company preferred
Analytical skills and understanding of accounting principles required;
Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting systems required, e.g., SAP.
Excellent knowledge of sales (sales to cash) and procurement (purchase requisition to payment), as well as, payroll cycles and;
Public company experience highly preferred.
Essential Physical and Mental Requirements
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods.
Ability to extensively use of computer keyboard, mouse and monitor.
Ability to work when necessary, extended daily or weekend hours.
Ability to lift at least 40+/- pounds.
Ability to work collaboratively on a team, as well as, be an independent worker.
Ability to be highly organized, dealing with multiple projects; meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail is essential in this position
Ability to be flexible and highly adaptable to new or changing priorities
Ability to identify issues, impacts and implications and recommend solutions
Ability to showcase excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to provide and maintain open lines of communication with employees from all areas of the organization, providing prompt answers to requests from other departments to determine how to convey concise, clear, and timely selective information
Mental Requirements:
Ability to work with frequent interruptions and changes in workload priorities, ability to prioritize tasks, ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to work well under pressure without loss of attention to details as many tasks are deadline driven.
Ability to learn new software/new information when necessary in order to complete job duties thoroughly.
Travel requirements:
Ability to travel by car, train or air either domestically: 1-5%% of the time; travel maximum 1 days per month. Limited to domestic seminars, trainings, conferences in connection with technical updates.
