Accounting Supervisor - Succession Plan to Controller

Our client in Greater Orlando, a dynamic and family-oriented company with a strong "work-hard, play-hard" ethos, is seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor. This role offers a unique opportunity for long-term career growth, with a clear succession plan leading to a Controller position. Reporting directly to the CFO, this position oversees key financial functions and will play a central role in managing a $35 million budget.

Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary finance and accounting resource for the team.
- Manage essential financial duties, including bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and ensure accurate financial reports for management, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
- While not required, experience in construction accounting is a plus.
- Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.
- Report directly to the Accounting Manager and work closely with the CFO.
Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelor's in Accounting or a related field.
- Strong background in financial management and reporting; experience with book closures under a Controller preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Experience in construction accounting is highly desirable.
Salary Range:
- $75,000 - $85,000 based on experience and qualifications.

Logistics:
- Start Date is flexible, ideally ASAP.
- Initial virtual screening followed by an in-person, comprehensive 4-hour interview.
- On-site Monday-Thursday, 7 am to 5 pm; Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm.
- Candidates must pass a drug screen and background check and complete DISC and Wonderlic assessments.
- Candidates are encouraged to provide appropriate notice at their current role.
