A global, industry leading company has an opening for an Accounting Supervisor to join their team in Woburn, MA
The Accounting Supervisor will report to the Accounting Manager & have the primary responsibility of construction and project management accounting
The Accounting Supervisor will also get involved with managing and mentoring 2 direct reports.
Up to $115,000 DOE, plus bonus & equity.
The role requires someone to be local to be the Boston area and will be in the office a few days each week.
Job Description:
- Execute monthly accounting closes in accordance with the required time and quality standards.
- Ensure all journals and adjustments are supported by underlying analyses.
- Ensure that group, standalone, and statutory financials comply with GAAP as well as internal accounting policies.
- Build effective partnerships with other accounting teams as well as other internal stakeholder teams to ensure alignment.
- Leverage systems tools to effectively improve reconciliations, processes, analyses, and reporting, as well as to identify process efficiencies within the designated areas of scope.
- Recruit and manage the performance and career development of Senior Accountants and Accountants
Cultivate a collaborative team dynamic that enables us to meet our business objectives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a close environment required.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- CPA preferred.
