What You'll Do
- Enters and processes new hire, change, and termination information into computer databases Reviews resumes and forwards to appropriate managers Updates and maintains team members' forms, department-Drive, and HR forms
- Enters information for background checks, analyzes results and informs the supervisor of issues
- Communicates benefits to team members; may manage the open enrollment process May manage wellness program, tracks participation and success of these programs
- Advises team members on Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), unemployment claims, and Short-Term Disability leaves and issues paperwork as appropriate
- Maintains daily attendance logs, tracking of attendance deficiencies, and notifications to supervisors of needed attendance discipline
- Works independently on special HR projects as assigned (eg, team engagement, social media, etc) Assists with a variety of team member communications which may include internal postings and internal company newsletters
- Develops training presentations ( benefits, team engagement meetings, assist with safety presentations, and documentation)
- Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture
What You'll Need
- Strong computer skills required (good knowledge of Outlook, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Must have a high level of discretion and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
- Both awareness and accuracy are incredibly important in all aspects of this position
- High level of organization and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience; previous experience in human resources preferred
Your Education
- Associate degree or equivalent experience is required
