About the Job
The Accounts Payable Clerk will maintain and analyze activities in the accounts payable/receivable function. They will ensure timely payments of vendor invoices and credit card accounts, maintains accurate records and control reports. Also responsible for maintaining cash receipts and plays an active role in month end general ledger account reconciliations. Establishes and maintains excellent communication channels with employees at all field location offices. Reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
Essential Functions
• Supports and utilizes all functions of Bill.com
• Enters, verifies, codes, and approves vendor invoices in Bill.com
• Processes weekly manual and return to program checks (including DSS Checkbook)
• Reconciles monthly credit card statements
• Assists SAP Concur users with credit card transaction entries
• Print backup documentation from credit cards transactions to be used for billing
• Prepare and make daily bank deposits
• Manages and maintains bank deposit log
• Maintains weekly check registers and agency vendor register
• Processes incoming W-9’s for new vendors
• Posts month end cash receivables
• Attends monthly accounting department meetings (receivables/ P&L’s/etc.)
• Prepares agency year end 1099’s
• Lead Enterprise Fleet management program for company vehicles owned and leased
• Participates in a wide variety of special projects and compiles a variety of special reports
Required Education and Experience
BA or BS degree in Finance/Accounting
3 plus years of accounting experience
Proven proficiency in Microsoft products with a heavy emphasis on Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
