Accounts Payable Clerk - Aston Carter

Job Title: Accounts Payable SpecialistJob Description We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a passion for maintaining financial accuracy and security. This role involves invoice matching, data entry, and maintaining vendor relationships while ensuring adherence to financial policies and procedures. Responsibilities + Invoice matching, batching, coding, and data entry + Review and correct store invoice entry postings + Maintain vendor relationships through communication and issue resolution + Vendor statement review + Period-end accruals, ensuring complete and accurate cut-offs + Filing + Participate in special projects as assigned + Adhere to established Financial Integrity Policy + Maintain financial security and confidentiality by following internal accounting controls + Adhere to policies and procedures set forth in the employee handbook at all times Essential Skills + 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume environment + Experience with Great Plains preferred + PC proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Access, Word) + Proficiency in three-way matching and invoice processing Additional Skills & Qualifications + Able to problem solve, identify patterns, and suggest process improvement solutions + Ability to successfully communicate with vendors, stores, and management + Able to work in a team environment + Enjoys detail-oriented work, possesses good organizational skills, and is customer service-oriented + Willingness to assist as needed to meet department and company goals + Ability to deal pleasantly with various types of people and personalities Work Environment The work environment is professional and collaborative. You will be working with advanced accounting software and tools such as Great Plains and MS Office. The team values a strong work ethic and attention to detail. This role operates within standard business hours, and the dress code is business casual.
