About the Job
Idaho Forest Group is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team.
Primarily through the use of technology, maintain accounting records and ensure the timely and accurate receipt, approval and posting of invoices.
Hourly wage: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour DOE
Essential Functions:
- Ensure the timely and accurate approval, coding, and payment of invoices
- Prepare weekly accounts payable batches for ACH and check processing
- Match received purchase orders with invoices and coordinate with purchasing to resolve discrepancies
- Maintain vendor records including ACH and other payment and contact data; determine payment discount opportunities with vendors; request and maintain vendor W-9 information in the general ledger system
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payments
- Investigate issues for vendors or purchasing with payment of invoices
- General ledger account reconciliations as assigned
- Prepare outgoing mail and correspondence, including email and faxes
- Communicate and coordinate accounting policies, practices, and procedures with department, company managers and vendors
- Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Support the accounting team and assist with special projects
- The listed items may not be the only duties performed in this position - there will be other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of accounts payable experience including coding, researching, producing checks, and maintaining customer service with vendors
- Familiarity with accounting principles
- Previous manufacturing environment experience preferred
- Proficient knowledge in computer systems including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, electronic scheduling and e-mail, and financial planning software
- Able to multi-task, follow-through, delegate, and prioritize well to meet deadlines
- Able to deal professionally, courteously, and tactfully with the public and coworkers
- Pleasant and professional communicator
- Attention to detail
- Valid Driver’s License for business travel
- Ability to pass a drug, physical, and background check

Physical Requirements:
Move safely, quickly, and perform duties with repetitious movement. Sit and/or stand for shift, reach with hands and arms, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull, maintain balance, bend at the waist, kneel, walk varying distances, and climb stairs. Must be able to tolerate all weather elements, loud conditions, vibrations and airborne particles (sawdust).
