The Accounts Payable Clerk II position focuses on managing the full-cycle accounts payable process, from vendor invoices to payments. Additional responsibilities include reviewing journal entries, preparing reconciliations, and contributing to business innovation and process improvements. You will also be involved in monitoring and coordinating activities for Deutsche Windtechnik Accounting, conducting internal analysis, and tracking operational metrics. This role will play a key part in our upcoming transition to an ERP system later this year.

- Work collaboratively with Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable and Controlling staff to ensure accuracy in finances?
- Analyze, develop and modify work flow procedures and policies, and play a key role in introducing new accounting systems and interfaces?

- Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors?

- Collect, track and distribute incoming vendor invoices.
- Manage, coordinate, and monitor daily accounts payable operation, reviewing purchase orders, and shipment receipt records followed by coding and processing invoices.
- Review and reconcile invoice and accounts discrepancies.
- Prepare and process national and international vendor payments through EFT ACH/Wire transfers.
- Review and code payroll reports for processing on a biweekly basis.
- Audit and process credit card bills on a monthly basis.
- Manage company credit card program, maintaining employee accounts, support all users with any arising card payment issues.
- Ensure all processed data is applied correctly to cost centers and projects for cost controlling.
- Collaborate with accounting team to support various accounting projects and activities.
- Provide assistance in quarterly and annual audits and reports.
- Support supervisory and executive staff by performing any assigned accounting and clerical tasks.
What You’ll Need:
- Associate’s degree and 2 years of related Accounting experience.
- Knowledge and demonstrated understanding of US GAAP, accounting procedures and best practices.
- Experience working in an International environment is preferred.
- Experience with IFS or other ERP/Accounting system implementation.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or other accounting software, with excellent computer literacy skills, particularly in MS Excel.
- Proven time management skills and ability to work independently under strict deadlines without supervision
- Motivated with a strong desire to take on new challenges.
- Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks and commitment to meeting and exceeding deadlines and goals.
- Respect for confidentiality of information, regulatory laws and ethical standards.
- Knowledge of sales taxes across different states.
- Team player attitude, willing to work flexible hours as needed.
- Strong people skills – a polite and professional demeanor when working with other companies, as well as consumers and coworkers.
