About the Job
The experienced Accounts Payable candidate that we are seeking should have at least 1 year of progressive, successful experience in the commercial sector. This position will work closely with the Manager, Client Billing and Corporate Controller to complete many aspects of accounts payable processes.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Indexing documents, 3-way auditing, document management
- Communicate with carriers via phone, email, mail or personally
- Follow-up on missing data
- Maintenance of unbilled report.
- Carry out billing timely for vendors/suppliers so that we are paid from customers within established time limits.
- Reporting activities according to specific deadlines. Reconcile accounts.
- Processing and monitoring payments and expenditures
- Resolve account discrepancies by investigating documentation; issuing holds on payments, manage adjustments.
- Investigate and resolve carrier queries.
- Maintain accounting ledgers by posting account transactions and verify accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
- Process carrier invoices within 3 days of receiving. Maintain files and documents through imaging software.
- Occasionally perform assigned administrative responsibilities.
- Pay invoices by verifying transaction information; scheduling and preparing disbursements; obtaining authorization of payment.
- Working under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods; leading, guiding, and/or coordinating others; and operating within a defined protocol. Utilization and cooperation with resources from other work units may be required to perform the job's functions. There is a continual opportunity to have some impact on the organization’s services

QUALIFICATIONS:
- The ideal applicant will have a minimum of at least one year of AP experience preferred. AP role Expert PC Skills (Excel/Internet applications and client/vendor portals.)
- Knowledge of Business Central preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge in multisystem operations
- 3-way audit preferred
- Strong 10-key
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, ability to identify & resolve problems.
- Write, maintain, and improve procedures.
- Understand and follow procedures and priorities, as well as have sense of urgency.
- Solid analytical, organizational and negotiating skills with effective oral and written communication skills.

- the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
