Accounts Payable Clerk - Superior Foods International

SFI is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our onsite Finance Team in our Watsonville headquarters. This position is responsible for general accounting and clerical tasks related to processing accounts payable transactions. This position is suitable for entry level candidates exploring a career in accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Completes daily accounts payable transactions and data entry including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data in the accounting system
• Processes outgoing payments in accordance with established procedures
• Reconciles statements and troubleshoots discrepancies
• Files processed invoices and vendor payments in the payables files
• Receives and sorts incoming accounting mail
• Performs department clerical duties such as scanning and filing
• Assists with audits and special projects as requested

Required Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma required; Associate's Degree in Accounting preferred
• 1+ years previous Accounts Payable experience required in lieu of degree
• Ability to work onsite in our Watsonville office
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish a plus
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and 10 key calculator proficiency required; experience with Adobe a plus
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail with excellent follow through

Compensation and Benefits:

The target hiring range for this position is: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour. Compensation is based on a variety of relevant factors, including prior work experience, skills, professional qualifications, and internal pay equity.
