We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Permanent Accounts Payable. Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire accounts payable process, from receipt of invoices to payment, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
- Implement 3-way and 2-way match process to verify invoices against purchase orders and goods received.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze large datasets and to create financial reports.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure accurate and timely recording of all transactions.
- Maintain vendor files and update records as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements related to accounts payable.
- Assist in month-end closing procedures, including preparing necessary accruals and journal entries.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline accounts payable operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role.
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.
- Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must.
- Experience with 3-way match and 2-way match processes.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Experience with accounting software, preferably QuickBooks.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
