Accounts Payable Processor - Jessup, MD
About the Company and Accounts Payable Processor Opportunity:
- CFS is partnering with a new client in the distribution industry. Due to an increase in work, they are looking to hire an Accounts Payable Processor to support their growing team and work in their Jessup office on a contract to hire basis
- Company boasts strong job tenure. They do company lunches and holiday parties and have a great company culture.
- Position is 100% in office in Jessup, MD
- Hours typically are 9am-5pm Monday-Friday with some flexibility
- Reports directly to the AP Manager (who was placed by CFS!)
- Print, sort, enter, and distribute invoices that come through the AP email box (approximately 120+ invoices daily or about 700 per week), working with a team of 3-4 others in AP
- Complete 3-way match on all invoices by verifying that all receiving documents from warehouse are matched with proper invoice and PO
- Process all weekly credit card payments and submit check register for review and approval
- Bill purchase order, verify line items, and match with total on invoice
- Research and resolve vendor account inquiries, follow up with vendors who have past due payments
- Perform account reconciliation on all outstanding vendor statements
- Assist Accounts Payable Manager with weekly check runs
- Ad hoc duties as needed
Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Processor:
- 2+ years' AP experience
- Experience using Oracle NetSuite a plus, but not required
- Basic Excel skills (basic formulas, formatting, data manipulation)
- Good work ethic, self motivated, team player
- Comfortable working with a small team in an environment going through changes
