Talis Group's client is a prestigious, full-service, award-winning law firm in Louisville, KY, renowned for its expertise across various practice areas. They are looking to hire an experienced & detail-oriented Accounts Payable/ Accounting Specialist to support the daily operations of the accounting team. This role will be responsible for Accounts Payables, Trust Accounting, expense reimbursement, & general financial record-keeping. This is a full-time, direct hire position with a salary range of $45-65k (depending on experience) along with full benefits. This employer provides flexible day scheduling, along with 2 days hybrid option after initial 120 days of training.
Highlighted Duties:
- Accurately process vendor invoices & firm expenses, ensuring timely & correct payments.
- Verify the accuracy of invoices & expense reports, ensuring compliance with firm policies.
- Ensuring proper coding & categorization of expenses to maintain organized financial records.
- Manage check runs and/or electronic payments according to established schedules.
- Monitor & manage the Accounts Payable aging report to ensure timely payments & prevent overdue balances.
- Perform balance Sheet & bank reconciliations.
- Adhere to established accounting policies, procedures, and controls to maintain accuracy & integrity of financial data.
- Provide general administrative support to the accounting department as needed.
Highlighted Requirements:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience of similar work, preferably in a law firm or professional organization.
- Experience with Elite Enterprise Accounting software or 3E is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
- Ability to prioritize & organize tasks & complete items under time constraints with high attention to detail.
- Maintain professionalism & strict confidentiality.
- Excellent written & oral communication skills.
