Job Summary:
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices while maintaining strong relationships with vendors. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and verify invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Manage the approval workflow for invoices and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain vendor files and ensure timely updates of vendor information.
- Prepare and process weekly payment runs and handle any ad-hoc payments as required.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and assist with month-end closing activities.
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status and resolve any issues.
- Assist with audits and provide documentation as needed.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes and streamline workflows.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
