Job Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable transactions manually, including sorting, matching, coding, and entering invoices into the accounting system.
- Perform detailed 3-way matching of purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documents to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Process and reconcile freight invoices, ensuring proper allocation of expenses and adherence to contract terms.
- Communicate with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies, payment inquiries, and other accounts payable-related matters in a professional and timely manner.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounts payable workflows and contribute to the implementation of streamlined procedures
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 5 + years' of experience working in Accounts Payable
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
