Our client is a clean beauty brand seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their growing team on a temp-to-fulltime hire basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced and growing organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a hands-on approach, and the ability to work independently while ensuring accuracy in all financial transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Process and record high volumes of accounts payable transactions (100+ invoices per day) while maintaining clear communication with vendors and internal teams.
- Reconcile accounts payable statements, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Verify invoice accuracy (price/quantity variances) and ensure compliance with contract terms.
- Assist with financial reporting tasks (aging reports, managing payment cycles).
- Maintain accurate filing systems for financial documents.
- Support month-end closing processes (including preparing and adjusting journal entries, if applicable).
- Assist with additional accounting duties and special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or a related accounting role.
- Proficient in a cloud-based accounting system like NetSuite or Bill.com.
- Strong knowledge of financial systems and processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
- Experience with reconciliations and vendor communication.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
