About the Job
Our client is a long-standing leader in their field, currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team growing team. For this role we need someone who has a minimum of 3 years hands on AP experience, with the ability to be onsite in their Fairfield, NJ office. Client is looking for an indefinite temporary solution with potential for permanent hire down the road.
Essential Functions for the Accounts Payable Specialist:
- Data entry of AP invoices
- 3-way matching
- Process weekly check runs by coding, obtaining approval, and administering payment
- Reconciliations
- Expense reimbursement
- Process improvement
- Act as backup for Accounts Receivable when necessary
Preferred Skills for the Accounts Payable Specialist:
- The Accounts Payable Specialist should have excellent communication and prioritization skills
- Strong ability to multitask
- Technologically savvy with ability to learn quickly
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong communication and ability to work in a team as well as independently
