Vaco Richmond is recruiting for an Accounts Payable Specialist. This role offers a flexible schedule, internal growth, and the ability to work with a well-established team already in place.
Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices electronically, ensuring accuracy and timely entry into the accounting system.
- Maintain vendor and customer accounts, ensuring all records are up-to-date and discrepancies are addressed promptly.
- Prepare and issue payments to vendors in a timely manner.
- Reconcile invoices with purchase orders and receiving reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Reconcile vendor statements, research and resolve any discrepancies by communicating with vendors via phone and email. Maintain positive vendor relationships.
- Assist in month-end closing processes.
- Previous experience processing invoices in a high-volume capacity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Excel and experienced with accounting ERP systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle vendor discrepancies effectively.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and accounts payable procedures.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
- the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
