Accounts Payable Specialist at Creative Financial Staffing

Position: Accounts Payable Specialist Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join their team as an Accounts Payable Specialist in Grand Rapids, MI.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full cycle of the accounts payable process for the company, including reviewing and processing vendor invoices, expense reports, and payment requests.
• Ensure accurate coding, proper approvals, and adherence to the firm's policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular reconciliation of vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with attorneys and staff to verify billing codes and ensure the accuracy of expenses.
• Process payments to vendors, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions and related documentation.
• Collaborate with the finance team to support month-end and year-end closing activities.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable, preferably in a law firm or legal environment.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively.
