We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Consulting Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This role provides an excellent opportunity for an individual to apply their expertise in Vendor Management, Data Entry, Invoicing, and Purchase Orders. The ideal candidate will have a knack for problem-solving, a keen eye for detail, and an unwavering commitment to maintaining high levels of financial accuracy and integrity. This position requires 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage full cycle accounts payable activities including receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.
2. Maintain and strengthen relationships with vendors through effective Vendor Management.
3. Perform accurate Data Entry of all invoices, ensuring correct coding and authorization.
4. Manage the issuance of Purchase Orders, tracking them against incoming invoices.
5. Resolve payment discrepancies and disputes on behalf of the company.
6. Prepare and present detailed reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports (A/P, Aged Invoice, Cash Flow, etc.).
7. Ensure compliance with company policies, relevant industry regulations, and tax requirements.
8. Collaborate with the procurement team and other departments to streamline and improve the accounts payable process.
9. Conduct periodic audits to ensure accuracy in financial records, receipts, and purchase orders.
10. Participate in financial projects, including system improvements and implementations.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or a similar role, preferably in the Manufacturing industry.
3. Proficient in Vendor Management, Data Entry, Invoicing, and managing Purchase Orders.
4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, data privacy standards, and regulatory compliance.
5. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service orientation.
7. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
8. Proficient in using financial software and MS Office (especially Excel).
9. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently.
10. Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
