SynergenX is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team onsite in NW Houston.
The Company
SynergenX is a leading hormone replacement therapy company. We are seeking an experienced and energetic Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing team. This role will report to the Controller and will oversee all accounts payable related activities for SynergenX and its related companies. The role is based at our corporate headquarters in Houston, TX (remote candidates are not being considered).
About the Job
Accounts Payable clerk will be responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient and timely manner. You will be tasked with receiving, opening, and logging invoices on the ledger, as well as other duties like bank reconciliation, accounts payable invoice and data entry, and expense report handling. In order for you to be successful in this role, you will need to be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly in Word and Excel. Accounts Payable clerk may perform other tasks as asked by manager.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process check requests and expense reports on a regular basis
- Accurately review, code, and process vendor invoices
- Perform monthly reconciliations
- Maintain a large number of vendor accounts while staying in compliance with company policies and procedures
- Perform data entry associated with accounts payable
- Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies
- Audit and process credit card bills
- Address and respond to vendor inquiries
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma, required; Associates Degree in Accounting, preferred.
Must have at least 2 years recent experience with accounts payable or general accounting
Saage Intact experience highly preferred
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to multi-task and consistently meet multiple deadlines.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Strong customer-service orientation.
Ability to use good judgment.
