Accounts Payable Specialist - ShoffnerKalthoff MES, Inc.

We are seeking a highly motivated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Accounts Payable team in our Service department in Knoxville, TN.  The ideal candidate is a dependable, organized, productive team player with the ability to work well with others.  The candidate must also possess oral and written communication skills, technical skills, and accounts payable knowledge.

  Pay: $18 - $20 per hour, depending on experience.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable invoice coding into accounting system.
• Interacting with purchasing personnel to resolve PO and invoice discrepancies
• Maintaining necessary information to set up accounts with new vendors.
• Configure employee devices, including iPhones and iPads, with job-specific applications.
• Assist with expense reports for our Service department.
• Field inbound calls from clients for technician dispatching.
• Creating dispatch work orders.
• Assisting management with other miscellaneous accounting matters as needed.

Qualifications:

• Accounting degree or 2+ years of experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of math and basic accounting principles.
• Organization and time management skills.
• Experience configuring electronic devices.
• Microsoft Office experience; Excel formulas, sorting and filtering functions.
• Willingness to learn and help others.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain a positive, cooperative and teachable attitude.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
