We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounts payable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Verify approvals and coding for invoices.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Prepare and perform electronic payments.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions.
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain good relationships.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to accounts payable.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Prepare monthly accruals and reconciliations of subsidiary ledgers to the general ledger
- Maintain the accounts payable vendor file with proper remit to and payment terms information.
- Track and report quarterly use tax
- Report 1099 earnings

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working in accounting, accounts payable or general ledger
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
- Proficient in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
