Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Position Overview:
Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team. This role will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and manage all accounts payable transactions, including invoice verification and approval specific to manufacturing operations.
- Maintain accurate records of payments, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with internal policies.
- Review, code, and enter invoices into the accounting system, ensuring alignment with purchase orders.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain effective communication regarding payment status and issues.
- Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
- Collaborate with procurement and other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
- the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
