Position Overview:
This role offers a contract-to-hire opportunity, providing a path to a permanent position based on performance and fit. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and possess a solid understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Invoice Processing: Review, verify, and process invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Vendor Relations: Manage vendor communications to resolve any discrepancies or issues and ensure timely payments.
- Payment Processing: Prepare and process payments (checks, ACH, and wire transfers) in line with scheduled timelines.
- Reconciliations: Reconcile monthly statements with vendor accounts, identify any discrepancies, and address them promptly.
- Expense Reports: Review and process employee expense reports for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain and organize files and documentation in a structured, efficient, and accessible manner.
- Reporting: Assist with accounts payable reporting and month-end closing procedures.
- System Updates: Enter data into accounting software, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or similar accounting role.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
