About the Job
BerryDunn is seeking a qualified temporary Accounts Payable Specialist, to join our internal accounting team for a three-month assignment that could become a permanent role in 2025. The qualified individual will handle confidential and sensitive information in a discreet and professional manner, demonstrate organizational skills with a high degree of attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have the ability to prioritize/reprioritize daily work, work independently and in a team, and complete work in a timely fashion as necessary. This position will be based in our Portland, ME headquarters.
You Will:- Monitor a fast-paced AP email inbox daily.
- Receive, code, and process all invoices.
- Process all Subcontractor payments.
- Review and process monthly employee wellness reimbursements.
- Assist with month end journal entries.
- Review and process payments of reimbursable employee expenses.
- Support the annual preparation of 1099’s.
- Cross-train to serve as a back up to AR.
- Experience with AP / AR
- BS in accounting or business and/or equivalent work experience in a professional environment
- Strong attention to detail and proven organization skills
- Experience with NetSuite
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently, or with a team and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
The rate for this role is $28 an hour. This salary range represents BerryDunn’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, seniority, merit, education, training, amount of travel, and other relevant business considerations.
