We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support our Vista Care Intellectual & Developmental Disability Services operations. The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for invoices, vendor audits, expense reviews, petty cash management, and 1099 maintenance. The Accounts Payable Specialist supports Vista Care individuals to develop and maintain a high quality of life and to be as independent as possible and supports individuals to have a high satisfaction with services and supports.

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:

• Work Schedule: Full Time; standard work week is Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm with occasional overtime/weekend work required.
• Location/Travel: Onsite in Sheboygan, WI.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Posting journal entries into accounting system  
• Entering invoices into A/P system
• AP vendor file maintenance 
• Internal audits of AP/AR vendor / customer adds / changes  
• Reviewing of AP expense batches 
• Monthly review of Payables 
• Preparing various reconciliations 
• Maintaining petty cash accounts and log all outgoing cash disbursements 
• Reviewing all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment 
• 1099 maintenance 

SKILLS/ABILITILES:

• Fluency in oral and written English
• High level of training skills and knowledge of learning theory
• High level of competency using computers, multiple programs, and databases
• Must demonstrate excellence in the following skills:

• Corporate communication
• Ability to consistently meet deadlines required

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time. 

Requirements

• A 2-year degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience required
• Must be proficient using the following:
• Microsoft programs
• Google Suite
• Computerized accounts payable systems
• Calculator
• Telephone
• Basic accounting principles
• Required to pass the WI BID and other background checks, upon hire
• Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and insurable driving record that meets Vista Care’s current driving requirements

PAY

$23.00 hourly
