Client Overview:

Our client is a growing HVAC distribution and service company in the Spring, Texas. This HVAC company focuses on residential customers in Greater Houston and offers them the best services at affordable prices. Currently, they are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for their Accounting and Finance department.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$21/hr – $22/hr

Position Overview:

This Accounts Payable Specialist position is open due to growth within the Accounting team and will also have opportunities to grow as well. The Accounts Payable Specialist oversees the financial accounts payable process, ensuring timely, and accurate processing of invoices for our HVAC Company. These duties may include daily bookkeeping and record keeping, financial reporting, and preparing tax records for financial audits. You will work closely with our clients and internal teams to implement effective Account Payable strategies for our company.

Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist:

• Receiving, processing, confirming, and reconciling bills in order to complete payments and manage spending.
• Managing accounts payable with accounting software and other tools.
• Managing the accounts payable of different companies and suppliers.
• Developing and preserving connections with both new and current suppliers.
• Ensuring that wages and bills are paid accurately, on time, and following departmental policies.
• Coding and handling payment processing for invoices.
• Comparing conditions of payment, purchase orders, costs, and other expenses.
• Handling transactions and carrying out bookkeeping tasks including maintaining accounts, making entries, and balancing the books.

Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Specialist:

• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role.
• Proficiency with accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Sage.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) is preferred.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
