Are you a seasoned accounts payable professional with a knack for numbers and a passion for engineering? We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic team in the engineering industry. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounts payable, including processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely and accurate payments. This role is crucial to maintaining the financial health and integrity of our organization.
Responsibilities:
As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be an integral part of our finance team, with duties including but not limited to:
1. Processing and verifying invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
2. Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies.
3. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date vendor files.
4. Preparing and executing payment runs in accordance with company policies and procedures.
5. Assisting with month-end closing activities, including preparing and posting journal entries.
6. Providing support for internal and external audits.
7. Collaborating with other departments to improve processes and resolve issues.
8. Ensuring compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field.
2. Experience with time and material billing is essential.
3. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software.
6. Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
7. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and interact professionally with all levels of the organization.
9. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
