Position Overview
We are seeking a detailed-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable Analyst/Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will manage and oversee the company's accounts receivable process, ensuring accurate and timely collection of payments, maintaining records, work with program managers, and resolve any discrepancies. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively, within a team, in a fast-paced environment.

- Drive best in class practices to enhance and continuously improve the accounts receivable function
- Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures in accordance with generally accepted accounting
- Maintain electronic files thoroughly and accurately.
- Management of Accounts Receivable: issue and enter invoices to customers ensuring all invoicing is submitted on time to customers, ensure that receivables are collected promptly, record receipts, manage outstanding accounts and escalate collections.
- Prepare and make online deposits, process, and record ACH deposits.
- Process Scorecard measures for internal meetings.
- Facilitates and supports identification of process improvements.
- Answer client and staff inquires to ensure that Walker-Miller is in compliance with client contracts, making recommendations for invoice improvements and efficiencies.
- Assists with month end closing procedures.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure.
- Solid analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills along with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to work as part of the team and independently.
- Works and communicates well with others, including management.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related role (highly preferred, not required)
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential
- Experience in managing large volumes of data and transactions.
- Thorough understanding of GAAP and practices.
- Advanced technical skills and proficiency with Sage Intacct

- Required to sit, stand, walk; talk and hear; and ability to touch and handle tools and/or controls
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Noise level is typically moderate
