About the Job
The Accounts Receivable/Credit Specialist is responsible for managing and collecting outstanding customer accounts, ensuring timely payments and maintaining accurate records. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills to effectively interact with customers and resolve disputes.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and collect customer accounts, prioritizing larger and more complex accounts.
- Communicate effectively with customers, sales teams, and internal departments to resolve account issues.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records and account information.
- Review and release customer orders on hold.
- Assist with cash application and reconciliation processes.
- Evaluate customer creditworthiness and set credit limits.
- Provide support and training to junior credit specialists.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, and/or credit management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
