PRIMARY PURPOSE: Housby is looking for an ambitious Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team! This position is responsible for securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts, along with resolving discrepancies. This position will also provide support to the financial team by assisting with other various accounting tasks.

EXPECTATIONS:
Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivable data.
Create and send invoices to customers.
Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
Resolve collection issues by examining customer payment plans, payment history, credit line, and coordinating contact with collections department.
Summarize receivables by maintaining invoice accounts, verifying totals, and preparing reports.
Perform various month-end duties including:
- Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Reconcile bank accounts to bank statements to ensure all bank deposits are posted.
- Reconcile and maintain customer registration or purchase deposits.
Generate reports detailing accounts receivable status.
Provide additional customer-related information for marketing and sales.
Assist with scanning of accounts receivable documentation.
Research and help resolve accounting discrepancies.
Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws.
Maintain a professional image at all times.
Expected to follow the Company's safety rules and safety policies.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Proven accounting experience.
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations.
Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
High accuracy and attention to detail.
Aptitude for numbers.
Excellent customer service experience and strong communication skills.
Exceptional verbal and written communications.
Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
Strong computer skills highly desired.
EDUCATION:
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field preferred
Relevant certification is a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Oral communication over the phone and in person.
Ability to view a computer monitor.
Sitting for extended periods of time.
Alpha/numeric keyboarding
