Accounts Receivable Specialist at Canyon Capital Resources

Canyon Equities is a professional services team that supports the following companies; Custer, CS Erickson and FastSigns. We provide highly desired resources in the following functional areas, Information Technology, Finance and Human Resources.

and financial support services. This position will be responsible for managing and processing incoming payments ensuring transactions are timely and accurate, and that remittances are accurately coded and allocated.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Verifies and records payments made to the company, reconciles balances and maintains records
• Prepare regular reports on the status of accounts, aging reports, and collection activity for management review.
• Monitor Accounts Receivable/collections
• Reconcile daily and monthly deposits
• Post journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts as needed
• Process monthly bank reconciliations
• Assist with the month-end closing process
• Process and send invoices to clients or customers, ensuring all relevant information is accurate and complete
• Creates the daily activity report (DAR)
• Additional duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Energetic, self-starter with a positive attitude
• Team player with the ability to work independently
• Strong attention to detail with well-developed organizational and communication skills
• Knowledge of general accounting principles.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion

EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION

• Bachelors degree in accounting a plus
• 1-3 years experience in an accounting role
