Crossbeam Investments, LLP, a Seattle-based property management company is searching for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team! Crossbeam Investments manages a portfolio of successful commercial and apartment properties located throughout the Puget Sound region.
The Accounts Receivable Specialist provides support by performing a variety of tasks, including preparing, posting, verifying, and recording customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable and other financial matters as assigned by the Director of Finance & Operations. The ideal candidate will possess a basic understanding of accounting fundamentals as well as excellent office support skills.
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will work 100% on-site at our corporate office in Pioneer Square, downtown Seattle. Once fully established in the role and demonstrated an ability to work independently, a hybrid work arrangement may be available. This position is best suited to candidates willing to utilize public transportation; an ORCA card is provided.

Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable Specialist:
- Accounts Receivable
- Enter & post customer payments and revenues.
- Review daily deposits for accuracy and investigate discrepancies
- Post commercial tenant charges, including late fees and percentage rent charges per individual lease terms.
- Review/correct/activate new commercial leases and amendments in Yardi
- Create & send commercial tenant statements
- Maintain commercial Rent Rolls and report monthly to teams.
- Assist property managers with customer account management, including researching and resolving inquiries with a high level of customer service
- Reconcile receivable general ledger accounts monthly
- Compile and distribute delinquency reports to property managers bi-monthly
- Reconcile and distribute information sent to collections
- Maintain the company’s accounting files as needed
- Support
- Coach leasing agents on company policy and procedures
- Track and prepare documentation to request escrow reimbursements Work within and across teams to identify potential process improvements; work with others to implement agreed on changes and update policies and procedures
- Support the financial audit by providing documentation and explanations of transactions and processes
What the Successful Accounts Receivable Specialist will have:
- High school education or equivalent preferred
- Experience in a customer service role a plus
- Experience with Yardi or other real estate/accounting software packages preferred
- Effectively prioritize and multi-task
- Excellent people skills; ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
- Ability to perform light physical demands, able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- High energy and a positive attitude
- Excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to follow through
- Prompt and consistent attendance during scheduled work hours
- Ability to maintain confidential information
Compensation:
- $24.00 - $27.00 per hour, DOE
