About the Job
Cooksey Steel has an immediate opening for an Accounts Receivable Specialist, who is responsible for providing accounting and clerical assistance to the accounting department by performing data entry of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
Accounts Receivable Specialist Duties:
* Reviews and enters sales invoices into computer.
* Reviews documentation and prepares invoices for internal and external invoicing systems.
* Processes purchase order receipt documentation for accuracy and enters into the system.
* Investigates and resolves billing inquiries and issues.
* Processes credit card payments.
* Provides general administrative and clerical support to include: scanning, indexing and filing material for all departments within the organization.
* Assists the Accounting Manager with all aspects of the accounts payable function.
* Provides the Controller and/or Accounting Manager with accurate financial data to ensure timely reporting.
* Regular and predictable attendance is required to perform the duties of an accounting clerk.
* Maintains work areas in a clean, orderly and safe manner.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.

Accounts Receivable Specialist
Job Requirements:
* High school graduate or equivalent.
* Order entry experience required.
* Ability to interface effectively with all departments to foster a success-oriented, deadline driven organization.
* Ability to work in a high volume, transaction driven environment.
* Good analytical & organizational skills and ability to make sound decisions utilizing data.
* Ability to communicate verbally & written effectively with internal & external customers.
* Ability to demonstrate professionalism & diplomacy to include telephone etiquette.
* Must have knowledge of standard office practices and procedures.
* Must have strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
* Computer skills to include Microsoft Office Products: Excel and ERP.
