About the Job
MAG Aerospace is seeking an experienced Acquisition Specialist to assist program managers from Product Manger Information Warfare Cyber Development (PdM IWCD) in developing program documentation, creating program schedules, tracking program status, evaluating operational and technical alternatives, performing risk assessment and managing integrated product teams.
This is an opportunity to be involved in the newly formed PM Cyber & Space and be a part of the rapidly growing Cyber Development Product Office responsible for key capabilities within the offensive cyber operations world
Telework available 1 to 2 days a week subject to change based on mission

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Duties include, but not limited to:
- Provides expertise on the myriad of factors that influence cost, schedule, performance, and risk.
- Advise in the interpretation and tailoring of applicable acquisition regulations/memorandums, and ensure affordable, supportable and effective systems are delivered to the customer.
- Apply knowledge of DoD acquisition policy/best practice (DoDI 5000, Army Acquisition Regulations), briefing formation, and overall understanding of critical acquisition functional disciplines (e.g., contracting, test, engineering, logistics, budget) to produce thoughtful and defendable acquisition approaches.
- Directly supports the development of the acquisition strategy, acquisition program baselines, schedules, contracting plans/requirements packages, engineering strategies, spend/execution plans, shaping Program Objective Memoranda, and other supporting acquisition/budget documentation.
- Provide assistance in analyzing and developing improved policies, plans, methods, procedures, and systems of acquisition management programs.
- Assist Program and Project Managers in the maintenance of Spend Plans.
- Track financial execution performance information (commitments, obligations, and outlays).
- Mentors and coaches APMs to grow as experienced and confident acquisition professionals.

Requirements:Minimum Requirements
- Progressive experience in the DoD 5000 acquisition process, supporting the development and implementation of contracts and all acquisition related documentation.
- Knowledge and skill in the application of related laws, regulations, policies, precedents, methods and techniques of federal contracting and the DoD 5000 acquisition process.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Experience providing budget information for meetings and briefings.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, proven verbal and written communications, and the ability to work on multi-functional teams in a fast-paced development environment.
Education
- The minimum level of education required is: BS Degree.
- 4 years of additional experience can be considered for equivalency
Experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated combined experience in DoD acquisition management, program management, and/or contract management is required.
Clearance
- Possess an active TS Security Clearance threshold with ability to attain an SCI.
Desired Requirements
- BS degree with a business focus preferred Proven track record of successfully planning, maturing, and fielding DoD acquisition systems
- TS/SCI Security Clearance
- Project Management Institute PMP certification, or Contract Manager CPCM certification, or DAWIA Level II in any focus area
- Proven track record of successfully planning, maturing, and fielding DoD acquisition systems
- Experience with multiple contract vehicles & approaches (Traditional Federal Acquisition Regulation, Other Transaction Authority, Justification & Approvals (J&As))
- Familiarity with IT Box requirements approach
- Experience with Tailored Major Capability Acquisition and Software Acquisition Pathways
- Experience working with the government or working as a System Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) within a program management office for the acquisition of Software Programs
Other Qualifications
- Ability to work within office/lab/field environments
- Ability to travel 20% required to Army and contractor locations within CONUS
