About the Job
OBXtek is staffing for an Acquisition Specialist, Journeyman - Directors Action Group (DAG) (CGT Tactical SATCOM) for the United States Space Force (USSF) Space Systems Command (SSC) Acquisition Support Services contract to support Military Communication (MilComm) & Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) Directorate. This contract provides the MilComm & PNT Directorate with a broad range of acquisition capabilities to execute effective and responsive integrated program management of space-related research, development, production, operations and maintenance, and lifecycle acquisition activities. Position is contingent upon contract award.
This position interacts with Directorate leadership. The individual will provide support to Space Force customers in El Segundo, CA. Key duties associated with this position include:
- Business Operations. Serve as a subject matter expert in the execution of routine business operations for the Directorate.
- Planning, Programming, Budget, and Execution. Analyzes various phases of the planning, programming, budgeting, and execution process as it applies to the administration and management of all programs within the Directorate and provide the Government recommendations.
- Acquisition Reporting. Provides support to draft track program milestones and status, generate overviews of program health and ability to execute, assess program cost, schedule, and technical risks by segment and identify mitigation plans, consolidate and status program manager identified cost, schedule, and technical efficiency initiatives, demonstrate understanding of the program’s current critical path, integrate and correlate program performance data with the program baseline, accurately interpret acquisition program baseline thresholds and compliance, verify program costs against the approved President’s Budget, track program baseline changes, accurately capture high level program logistic, test and evaluation, and requirements readiness characteristics, and establish a program office point of contacts list to accurately develop, maintain, and update acquisition reports.
- Provides SME support to support to ensure timeliness, recommend changes, and provide quality control of presentations, briefings, and media relations for the PEO. Communications & Media. Provides support to review, coordinate, and process program information suitable for public release to industry, media, trade publications, international partners, and other program stakeholders.
- Government Audit Liaison. Provides support to coordinate correspondence between external audit agencies and the program offices. External audit agencies include, but are not limited to, the Government Accountability Office (GAO), the Air Force Audit Agency (AFAA), the DoD Inspector General (DoDIG), the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), and any other auditing organization.

Salary Range: $110,000 - $185,000k/year
Qualifications:US Citizen and possession of a current Secret Clearance
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) in a related field, such as Management, Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, Statistics.
- 3 - 10 years of extensive, relevant experience working on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program performing all functional duties independently and overseeing personnel in the same career field.
- Excels in advising, improvising, optimizing, and making thorough recommendations to Government Senior Leaders
- Expertise using MS Office applications and DoD, Air Force, and/or Space Force tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in business desired
- APDP Level II or equivalent is desired.
