Acquisition Specialist - LS Technologies, LLC

Job Description

At LS Technologies, a Tetra Tech company, we're on the lookout for a dynamic Acquisition Specialist to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in revolutionizing the National Airspace System (NAS).

Responsibilities

Responsible for supporting all aspects of program/project management involving planning, developing, organizing, coordinating and conducting ATO organizational activities to ensure FAA operational policies, processes and program elements are integrated and documented. This support includes any and all program management related tasks and deliverables. Exceptional oral and written communication, organizational, critical thinking and analysis, meeting facilitation, verbal and written communications, and interpersonal interactions skills are essential. Additionally,

• Performing market research and analysis required for new or extending existing contracts requiring a single source justification
• Developing schedules for program management activities, e.g., CFO packages, contract development, evaluation, and award
• Developing requests for proposals (RFPs) using the Uniform Contract Format (Sections C-K) for traditional or performance-based contracts
• Developing CFO packages for approval (required prior to the FAA sending out a Screening Information Request (SIR))
• Developing briefing packages for the Acquisition Strategy Review Board (ASRB)
• Developing Evaluation Plans and serving as a member of an Evaluation Team, as required
• Developing Corrective Action Plans, as needed
• Developing or providing comments on program-required documentation, e.g., Implementation Strategy and Planning Documents (ISPD), Communication Plans, and Program Management Plans (PMP)
• Provide acquisition advice on various contractual matters

Education

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• FAA AMS expertise is desired/a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Master's degree in engineering/engineering management, systems management or business management field and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required. Bachelor's degree and 10 years relevant experience substitution can be applied.
• Demonstrated experience in server consolidation and virtualization.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Work Requirements:

• Work location: Washington, DC
• Work Hours: 30+ (FTE)
• Travel: 10 - 20%
• Physical requirements:
  • Extended Computer Use: Regular and prolonged periods of working at a computer terminal.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Occasional lifting of equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds may be required during installations or maintenance.
  • Mobility: Ability to move around the office environment to access computer hardware, networking equipment, and server rooms.
  • Dexterity: Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate computer equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform tasks requiring precision.
  • Sitting/Standing: Both prolonged sitting and occasional standing may be required for troubleshooting and attending to system issues.
• Background check: Must be able to pass government public trust investigation.

Compensation (Pay Bands)

Salary at LST is determined by a wide array of factors, such as (but not limited to) education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.

The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and is based on full-time, 40 hour/week status. Part-time staff receive compensation at an hourly rate. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements) and is just one component of LSTs total compensation package for employees. ** In compliance with local laws, LS Technologies presents this reasonable compensation range as a guideline for roles in California, Colorado, New York, or Washington D.C."
