JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Active Directory Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our Active Directory infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement, and maintain Active Directory infrastructure
Ensure the security, integrity, and availability of Active Directory
Monitor and troubleshoot Active Directory-related issues
Develop and implement group policies
Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems
Active Projects:
Active Directory consolidation (9 domains into 1)
ADFS to Azure/Entra ID auth
Imprivata
Identity (SailPoint)
Cloud modernization (Azure/Entra ID)
Ongoing security remediations
Ongoing activities from mergers and acquisitions
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
5+ years of experience in Active Directory engineering
In-depth knowledge of Active Directory architecture and design
Strong understanding of DNS, DHCP, and other networking concepts
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Contract Details:
Duration: 6 months (with the possibility of extension)
Location: Remote, US only in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IL, IN, LA, MI, MO, NC, NV, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WI, WY. Remote work is not permitted in: CA, HI, NJ, NY, OR, WA and any international travel.
Team structure:
Team of 8 Engineers (7 FTE, 1 contractor) reporting to IT Manager of Engineering
Regionally focused (Midwest region)
Interview process (one or three interviews)
Initial (30 minutes) Rich
2nd (30 minutes) - Rich will move candidates to Peer team interview Architect (Gene) and Sr Engineer.
3rd Skills test. A technical skills test will be performed by the AD peer team. Rich may interview again in the final 10 minutes.
