Job Title: Activities Assistant
Job Description: We are currently seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Activities Assistant to join our team at Ridgeway Post Acute. The Activities Assistant will play a key role in planning and implementing a variety of recreational and social activities for our residents, promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, organizing, and leading recreational activities and events for residents, such as games, arts and crafts, music, and outings
- Encourage resident participation in activities and engage with them in a positive and supportive manner
- Assist in maintaining activity supplies and equipment, ensuring they are clean, organized, and in good working condition
- Collaborate with the activities director and other staff members to develop and implement engaging and diverse activity programs that meet the interests and preferences of our residents
- Provide one-on-one support and assistance to residents who may need additional help participating in activities
- Document resident participation and feedback on activities, and communicate any concerns or suggestions to the activities director
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with seniors or in a healthcare setting preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Creativity and enthusiasm for planning and leading activities
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- High school diploma or equivalent
