Pay: 50k - 55k

The activities coordinator is pivotal in engaging residents in enrichment and activities, as well support with complex behaviors.
Key Responsibilities:
Integration of Support Services:
- Develop person-centered activity plan with activity goals individualized for each resident.
- Perform person centered evaluations, and coordinate with behavior support team to ensure activity plans and behavior support plans are in line with each other.
- Identify enriching activities, including atypical activities that support each individual resident.
Activity Coordination:
- Coordinate with behavior support team to create activity plans for each resident.
- Review the plans each month to ensure they are up to date.
- Provide training and materials to staff to ensure they are able to engage residents in activities when activities staff are not present.
- Keep track of resident goals and participation to see how the activity plans are progressing.
- Assist in running all activities and planning the monthly calendar.
- Running support groups.
Team Collaboration:
- Participate actively in service planning teams, ensuring cohesion with care conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Engage in weekly IDG meetings and perform other duties as required.
Job Scope:
You will work under the direct guidance of the Activities Director, Executive Director, and Program Director, adhering to predefined procedures and guidelines. We are a RCF contract facility with complex behavioral medical needs. We have 25 beds, although currently, we are only about half way full as we are still new!
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience in a residential program catering to individuals with complex medical and behavioral challenges.
- Prior experience working with an activity team.
- Team player with strong communication skills (both verbal and written in English).
- Problem-solving expertise and the ability to creatively come up with solutions.
- Able to use Google Drive, email, calendar and other Google services.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations, including OARs.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- A friendly approach with a knack for connecting with people.
- Experience (or a keen interest) in working with super special folks with developmental needs.
- A cool head in tricky spots and a can-do attitude
- A creative approach to activities and engaging adults with disabilities in a variety of enrichment activities.
- Teachability!
Preferred Educational and Experience:
- Experience with activities, writing activity plans, creating activity lessons, and running them.
